Hosts: Dave and Audrey Matthews
The Matthews family began making maple syrup
at our current location in 1980, starting with 50 buckets and a 2’ x 6’ open evaporator in the driveway. Throughout the years, we have undergone several expansions, and currently have 17,000 taps over a total of 350 acres of sugar bush. Our modern operation utilizes plastic tubing and pipelines which collect sap by vacuum, and boil our syrup using a steam evaporator. We are federally licensed and inspected.
Our store offers everything from the traditional maple syrup, maple butter and jelly, taffy and candy to dry meat rub, candy floss and maple barbeque sauce.
Matthews is open daily the months of March & April 9am-5pm. Open the remainder of the year – by chance or appointment. We are wheelchair accessible.
