It was in 1993 that Paul & Dale started Winding Road Maple. They started with 1,200 taps and a 3 1/2 by 12 Dominion and Grimm evaporator.
In 2011 a new sugar house was built and a 6×16 Lapierre Force 5 evaporator was installed. An open house was held, making public viewing possible. The operation today includes 12,000 taps, a 4 post Reverse Osmosis machine, and is a registered C.F.I.A operation.
Future plans include continuing to expand production, as well as marketing maple syrup products. Both families love the maple industry.
