Three Maples Sugar Camp

Madoc, Ontario

Hosts: The Dennis Family

Three Maples Sugar Camp is owned and operated by the Dennis Family out of Madoc Ontario. Harry Dennis has been in the syrup business for over 50 years and shares his passion with his wife Janet and their three children Amy, Allison and Joel.

In 2007, devastation struck as the Three maples sugar shack was completely destroyed by a fire. With the amazing support of their family, friends and community organized fundraisers the Dennis’ were able to rebuild their sugar shack and have recently added an addition in 2017. Inside you’ll find a 14 ft stainless steel CDL intense-o-fire evaporator, reverse osmosis machine, a selection of Maple Syrup ranging from light to Amber and a rustic fire truck used to transport sap from the bush to the holding tanks.

Each season, friends and family gather to help tap the family sugar bush located just outside of Madoc. The 100 acre sugar bush currently has approximately 2000 taps and the Dennis’ work each year on expanding their lines and growing the number of taps. Their processes have been proven successful as they’ve previously won an award from the North American Syrup Association for high quality Maple Syrup. Three Maples sugar camp has had the privilege of hosting numerous community events including pancake breakfasts, first tapping ceremonies and annual Syrup makers tours.

The Dennis’ door is always open to visitors and welcomes you and your family to stop by for a tour of the Sugar Shack and a taste of their delicious Maple Syrup.
